Drama Workshops

No one does drama like Tantrum.

At Tantrum, we are leaders in devised theatre practice – we support and empower young people to take ownership of the creative process. They investigate, interrogate and explore the world around them through play and performance making.

We don’t train actors – we nurture makers, story-tellers, critical thinkers and artists. Our workshops are playful, non-competitive environments where young people are encouraged to express and, above all, be themselves.

We play with purpose.

Our weekly after-school drama workshops in Merewether and Warners Bay are designed for young people looking to share their ideas, connect with others, and engage in play. Every participant stands to grow in confidence and creativity while having fun and making new friends.

What does a Tantrum Workshop look like?

Tantrum believes that a workshop cohort should follow their own curiosity and ideas. Facilitators follow the lead of the cohort, so every workshop is different. Activities might include:

                          • drama games
                          • performance and improvisation
                          • story-telling
                          • character development
                          • writing
                          • devising scenes
                          • design
                          • …and so much more!

Workshops are delivered by experienced artists and facilitators. Our facilitators have current First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid training, and current NSW Working With Children Checks.
