OVER 18s WEEKLY WORKSHOP
PLAY UP!
PLAY UP! is a weekly evening drama workshop for adults (18 and over) who want to make, perform, and create. Through energetic theatre and devising tasks, the PLAY UP! crew move, take on characters, build worlds, and jump in!
In Term 3, Adam Deusien, theatre maker and artistic director of performance company Lingua Franca, will take the reins of PLAY UP! in nine weeks of ensemble building and devised theatre making. With an approach that uses script, text, improvisation and physical theatre, this will be a series of active, collaborative sessions, perfect for the performer, of any skill level, to tune their ensemble skills.
Through devising and improvisation, Adam will lead participants in play and exploration using a number of theatre making training techniques that focus on unleashing creativity by trusting your impulses, and working with others to make exciting theatre!
PLAY UP! runs every Monday evening for nine weeks, and is a space to connect, play, experiment, and create.
Whether you are new to drama, re-igniting an artistic flare, or a seasoned performer, PLAY UP! will remind you why playing is fundamental to being human.
