Drama + Performance Workshops

Our weekly afternoon workshops invite young people from diverse backgrounds with unique interests to come as they are. Some love drama and performance and want to pursue a professional career. Some consider themselves artistic in a different way while others don’t at all. Every young person stands to grow in confidence and creativity while having fun and making new friends at the same time.

Our workshops follow the school term (excluding the first week) and are available for young people aged between 5 and 21.

Term 3 2020:

In Term 3 2020, afternoon Drama + Performance Workshops will be delivered on-site at Tantrum, with online options for young people and families who wish to get involved from home.

On-Site Drama + Performance Workshops

Our incredible Workshop Facilitators are thrilled to welcome participants into our COVID-safe Studio space at Tantrum to have fun with performance, story-telling, improvising, writing, devising and design. With a focus on creativity, connectedness, resilience and making a difference, participants will build theatre and communication skills as vehicles for following their own curiosity and ideas. Register below.

Please Note: Tantrum will continue to follow and respond to government health advice at all times. In the instance that the Tantrum site is forced to close again, all workshops and activities will immediately move to online delivery. Term fees for each on-site workshop are highly subsidised to account for potential changes in delivery, as well as any financial hardship families face. As such, no refunds or credits will be given except in the event of workshops being cancelled. We will continue to offer our Tantrum OPEN Scholarship program for young people facing disadvantage.

Online Drama + Performance Workshops

Using video conferencing platform Zoom, participants will have the opportunity to directly engage with our amazing Workshop Facilitators who have thought outside-the-box to design sessions tailored to inside the home setting. Participants will connect with each other over fun games and activities while working together on a group project, all aimed at developing imagination, teamwork and resilience in the face of a global pandemic. Two Online Workshops will run per week – Junior (ages 8 – 12) and Senior (ages 12 – 18). Register below.
