Tantrum is a hub for local early career artists who want to carve out their own sustainable arts practice within our region, through skills development, networking and making bold new performance.

Whether motivated to pursue a meaningful career in the arts from being involved with Tantrum in the past or otherwise, we’re focused on supporting young early career artists on their artistic journey now and into the future.

By providing space for experimentation and collaboration, guided by leading professionals from around Australia, Tantrum’s programs empower multi-skilled artists with agency to make their own work and forge deep connections within and beyond the arts community. We’re also committed to providing a bridge for emerging artists to new employment opportunities, whether within Tantrum or the broader artistic landscape.
