Current Projects

Tantrum is known for making bold new theatre and performance that offers fresh perspectives, forges new connections and sparks the potential for change.

Each year our Community-Engaged Projects bring together young people, emerging artists, industry professionals and community members from diverse backgrounds and artistic disciplines. Each outcome represents the unique personalities and ideas of those involved and their responses to themes of local significance. In the recent past, we’ve earned a reputation for working site-specifically in non-traditional spaces, whether it’s throughout Watt Street, in and around Fort Scratchley, or on the shores of Lake Macquarie. We’ve always been committed to creating theatre and performance that’s accessible for everyone, which is why we’re driven to involve increasingly broad communities in the development and presentation of our work as we move into the future.

Tantrum also offers ongoing projects to provide platforms for locals, whether young or young at heart, to express themselves in an inclusive, collaborative and playful environment.
